When you've overweight and your hair is falling out, not enough to be a big loss, but enough to panic you even though you've been binging lately and don't understand why it's happening.

When you eat too much, so you stop weighing yourself, but in not weighing yourself you just give yourself permission to eat even more. Vicious circle.

You spent the day restricting and then go on a massive drink fuelled binge that involves eating a jar of fucking pickle

When you feel a bit useless - like you're not 'good enough' at purging to be bulimic or 'good enough' at restricting to be anorexic you're just this.

When you're counting calories for the day, and count two crackers, but sweep two pieces of chocolate "under the rug" and ignore the calories in them...(I don't get the way my mind works either...)

THIS. Except that when you finally weigh yourself, you realise you are 24lbs over the weight you said you'd never reach again.

You have loads of clothes that are too small, clothes that fit but you don't wear them because they're not baggy enough, and then you end up borrowing clothes from your dad because you need the looseness and the comfort

I do this a LOT. Like, I'll have a few sweets, and they don't count. But the 19kcal cracker you ate? OH NO THE WORLD IS ENDING. Tragic. =P

I still haven't dared to weigh myself. I guess I will tomorrow.

I can also totally relate to the second part. I spent the weekend out sorting out my wardrobe so I'm not tempted to eat myself back into my 'fat' clothes. Big step, I think.

Back on topic...

When one week it feels like you're bottomless, and you just eat and eat because hey...why not! And the next week you can barely manage 500kcals because it's just making you feel sick.

And when you secretly LOVE the fact that, hey, look at that, you don't have to eat any more.

When you feel indestructible. 'I'm not under/overweight, so I won't have any health problems.'

When something upsets you so much and you can't eat, and you find yourself really happy about that fact.

When you lose weight because you are so hurt and can't eat, and you are ecstatic.

And you keep reminding yourself of that hurt so you stay in it, and keep being unable to eat.
Sick.

When you plan to start buying sugarfree/diabetic sweets and chocolate so that when you binge (and it is always when rather than if ) at least they're lower calorie and "excessive consumption causes laxative effects" so you'll get rid of something even if you don't manage to purge

bad wording but...you go into the kitchen at night to poke around because your hungry, and when you find an interesting flavor of gum, you excitedly take 4 pieces. (you're excited because its FOUR ENTIRE pieces of gum, yet still far less calories than anything else you would have ended up eating)

your first thought when you wake up is 'i wonder what food there is available in the house today', swiftly followed by 'but should i eat or not today?!??' and then something along the lines of 'maybe if i just don't get up i won't have to bother with all this shit.'
