I can appreciate the fact that has antioxidants and it good for you and might be like caff. in that it gives you energy, blah blah blah...

...but it sounds like a gimmick.

It might not be, but that's my personal opinion.

You're probably right hon, like almost all dietpills, it's just gimmicks and ways for us to remain in cycle of gaining/losing.

I tend to think it's definitely worth a shot. It has more antioxidants in it than blueberries, contains many vitamins, minerals, and omegas, and has been reported to help with increasing energy and weight loss. Acai Berry can also help lower high cholesterol. There aren't any known side effects, so I think it's worth trying. It's a supplement of a berry, not some weird combination of strange herbs that could react in some weird way, so it's pretty safe. I found it at seacoastvitamins.com. You can also get Acai Berry teas that would probably help with weight loss (because you're drinking and benefiting from the acai).

I just got the drink version from my local gas station. We'll see if it does anything.

I've been drinking it, and I haven't been able to tell a difference.

It does give me some energy, but just as much as coffee does - and it tastes very mineral-ly. Which is not that appetizing...

I'm sure it's good for you, but I'm not willing to spend the money to drink it everyday.

Thank you for sharing a nice post. The acai berry possesses antioxidant properties. The berry has been proven to be able to cleanse all the toxins that have accumulated in the body over the years from having unhealthy eating habits. Products that are made from the berry are now used to cleanse the colon. The acai berry diet has to be accompanied by regular exercise and better eating habits so that the diet will produce optimum results. But when you buy them don't get ripped off with price and quality. Beware of fake products and getting over charged

i read a study on it and basically it said it didnt help but it didnt hurt and it was a fad thing. they said it caused a tiny amount of weight loss in lab rats but in humans its hard to say if it would do anything..i think its a waste of time probably bout the same effect as greent tea

Undoubtedly. There's absolutely no scientific evidence for antioxidants being good for your health.
In fact, clinical trials have shown that people who eat more antioxidants have a slightly higher risk of dying of some cancers than those who didn't, although what this means is anyone's guess. I think the results weren't statistically significant. And because eating antioxidants is (weakly) associated with cancer, it doesn't mean antioxidants cause cancer.

i just read an article on this in a mag at the gym and i couldnt wait to get home and shre...it said that it does cleanse your system and give you more energy, it does an excellent job t getting toxins out of your system and can lead to better skin and more energy however the drink or pill whatever, itself does not cause weightloss but it is a very good supplement for overall health. oprah and another celeb were quoted saying basically what i just wrote above and oprah did a group "study" using willing fans that wanted to try the supplement to see the results and the results were teh same as what ws stated above...no major weightloss though.
